Our Team

Dr Marnie Cumner
Dr Marnie is a Clinical Neuropsychologist specialising in children, young people, and their families. She brings together deep clinical expertise and genuine warmth to help families understand how their child thinks, learns, behaves, feels, and experiences the world.
With a background spanning mental health, childhood trauma, brain development, and neuroscience, Dr Marnie takes a holistic approach to assessment - listening to children, teenagers, families, and teachers, and drawing on evidence-based clinical tools and current research. Together, these build a clear picture of each child's strengths, challenges, and what they need to thrive.
At the heart of her work is a strengths-based, neuro-affirming philosophy. Dr Marnie believes that difference is not something to be managed or minimised - it is something to be recognised, valued, and embraced. Her work is guided by the belief that every child deserves to be genuinely understood and accepted - by the people who love them, the schools that teach them, and the world around them.
Dr Laura Bennett
Dr Laura is a dual-endorsed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults in both assessment and therapy. She looks beyond diagnostic labels to understand how a person’s brain works, and how their experiences and environment shape the way they think, feel, and move through the world.
Her approach is thoughtful and affirming. She has a particular strength in working with complexity and nuance, and is passionate about helping people make sense of themselves, especially when things have felt confusing, overwhelming, or hard to put into words.
Dr Laura approaches her work with both scientific rigour and genuine respect for individual differences. She draws on current research, careful clinical assessment, and the lived experiences of individuals and families. She recognises that people come to understand themselves in different ways, and takes a flexible and intentional approach to assessment and formulation, ensuring each person is understood in a way that truly reflects their experiences.

Shara Hazel
Shara is the organisational powerhouse behind The NeuroEducation Project.
While Laura and Marnie are busy creating content, writing resources, and diving into all things neurodiversity, Shara is the one quietly (and expertly) keeping everything running.
Shara is - in neuro talk - our frontal lobes, bringing the structure, planning, and organisation that makes this project possible. She brings a rare blend of calm, efficiency, humour, and genuine care to everything she does. Shara doesn’t just keep things running - she creates space for creativity, clarity, and connection.
